Dear Ones, When Su Co lived at the barn, before it was transformed into the temple we see today, this teaching often arose in her mind. In those years of bare, utter emptiness and simplicity, it wasn’t only waiting for a "temple-form" to appear- it was cultivating the temple within. Each breath, each moment, each step taken was an offering. Time was not empty. It was ripening. The blessings were already present in the very act of being available- available to the Dharma, to the unfolding of causes and conditions, to the blossoming that would one day, serve the community and all sentient beings. Now, as the temple stands in its fullness, the walls carry the fruits of that deep insight, the cultivation, responsibility, devotion, and understanding in the Dharma laws. May we remember: the path is not hurried. To “be” present, involved, in full awareness is to walk already in blessings, May our merits and virtues Benefit all sentient beings.
