Dear Dharma Family and Friends, When surrounded by others, one is constantly adjusting, responding, mirroring to fit the emotional climate around. We have become familiar with it, yet if feels tiring because it feels unauthentic. In solitude, this ends. There is no one to reflect back expectations, comments, no one to carry on. All noise ends. How comfortable are you when left to yourself, in moments of solitude? Do you look forward to them or try to avoid? You see, you will never be free until you realize this. It was never about what they think, it was always about if you listen to yourself. We spend so much time in our lives to chase for approval, fitting into shapes that were never ours to begin with, walking paths paved by other peoples expectations. But have you noticed, the more you chase what pleases them, the further you drift away from what fulfills you? The universe gave you a compass, not in your pocket but in the center of your chest. Your intuition is the echo not the cosmos whispering through you and yet, how often do we trust our fear more than trust that quiet knowing? Do not fear walking alone, do not fear growing alone, because to stand in your own light is to remember there truth of who you are. Explore these moments more and trust yourself. Allow your inner voice become your best friend. There is tremendous power in your very own presence that is ready to flower into joy, love and creativity. And that, my friend isn not small. A marvelous place that helps us tap into it, is in the sanctity of nature, in a park, a walk in a forest, a visit to a nearby river, or simply going for an early morning walk , while everything in the town is quiet. And of course, meditation. Meditation will give you the key to your ultimate being, giving you the capacity to move fearlessly through your life, with more kindness, more patience, more wisdom. “The wise person, who, As if holding a set of scales, Selects what’s good and avoids what’s evil Is, for that reason, a sage.
